█ FALSE MEMORIES SO FAR.

• overarching note that in his false memories, he's 25 instead of 20 to account for the difference in life experience from renfaire-20 to modern-20. this means that he's technically pretty young for some of the experiences he's had, like owning a house with his girlfriend for a year, or having most of a college degree.
  
  
• also worth noting: his last name is theirin in false memories so he goes by it, even though he only technically gets it in canon if he takes the crown (which he doesn't do). realistically, the name doesn't quite feel right for him to use, so he has a tendency to introduce himself by first name only even in situations when it may not quite make sense to do so.
  
  
• fake-alistair did most of a criminal justice degree at wayward pines university (naively in the pursuit of helping people, before he realized that helping people really wasn't what he was learning how to do) before dropping out with a year left to pursue something actually worthwhile. he hasn't found that worthwhile thing yet. right now, he's the guy you call to get the blight black mold out of your house, because i think i'm hilarious. (for those who may have hired his services, he likely didn't shut up for much of the job. pretty upbeat guy, considering what he's hired to do.)
  
  
• most of the false memories he has so far involve neria surana. he actually has a strong fake recollection of a fairly extensive relationship history with our darling warden, beginning with a very 101-dalmations-esque meeting in the park carrying them up through their first house together here in the supposedly sleepy town of wayward pines. they've been together for 3 years, lived together for 1.
  
  (basically everyone who knows alistair is aware that neria exists and most have probably met her, but they're fairly used to leading separate lives so being friends with one doesn't necessitate being friends with the other.)
  
  
• they have a very large dog (a mabari, or a cane corso in normal-world terms) who is pretty impossible to miss, so there's that.
